Sous Vide Vacuum Packed Bags

We have recently taken on the below range of vacuum packed bags for high end restaurants. The bags are used for the sous vide cooking technique. Sous-vide is a method of cooking food sealed in airtight plastic bags in a water bath for longer than normal cooking times—72 hours in some cases—at an accurately regulated temperature much lower than normally used for cooking.

Fully commercial vacuum packers (£3,000 upwards) use a smooth type of vacuum sealer bag, the machine is able to cope with the smooth bag drawing the air out due to the machine having a very powerful vacuum pump. 
 
Vacuum sealer bags are a special type of plastic bag which can be embossed. Some vacuum sealers advise only to use bags which are embossed. Hence the second range.
